My name is Marci McFarland.
I've lived all over the East Coast, from Maine, where I grew up, to North Carolina. However, it wasn't until the early 1990s that I first experienced Sarasota and knew I had found the place where I really felt at home. I made it my destination whenever I could and when I had the opportunity to move here, I took it. My two children and I think Sarasota's the greatest place in the world to live.
In my spare time, the children and I enjoy a lot of things as a family: movies, sailing, skiing and cycling. Alone, I like jogging, photography, reading historical fiction and watching independent and foreign films (the kids aren't quite old enough to appreciate most of these yet!).
I'm also a big fan of architecture and enjoy touring houses just for the pleasure of seeing great design techniques. I also enjoy touring my city and finding out more about the background of the neighborhoods - Sarasota has quite a rich history that is reflected in the neighborhood layouts and home designs.
